About Strawberry Creek Studio
Strawberry Creek Studio is an independent iOS app development studio
based in Alberta, Canada. We build straightforward, useful apps for
iPhone across a range of categories — games, creative tools, and local
community directories.
We started with a simple idea: that useful software doesn't have to be
complicated, and that local communities deserve better online tools than
what the big platforms provide. That idea drives everything we make.
What We Build
Alberta Business Directories
Our flagship project is a growing network of free online business
directories for Alberta communities. Each directory lists the local
businesses serving a given town or city, organized by category,
neighbourhood, and name. They're free to use, require no account, and
are updated regularly.
Current directories include Calgary, Calmar, and Thorsby, with more
Alberta communities being added throughout 2026.
Our Calgary directory also has a companion iOS app available on the
App Store, making it easy to browse local businesses on the go.
iOS Apps
We publish iOS apps for iPhone across several categories. Our current
lineup includes:
Fjord Raiders — a Viking naval battle strategy game where you command
a longship fleet across challenging fjord territory.
Hemi's Saint Bernard Game — an arcade game starring Hemi, a Saint
Bernard on a mission to save skiers on the mountain.
Photo to Colouring Book — a creative tool that turns any photo into a
printable colouring page in seconds.
Calgary Business Directory — the iOS companion to our Calgary online
directory, putting 20,000+ local business listings in your pocket.
Our Approach
We keep things simple. Our apps and directories are designed to do one
thing well, without unnecessary complexity or bloat. We don't chase
trends or build things for the sake of building them. If something
genuinely makes life a little easier or more enjoyable for the people
using it, it's worth making.
For our directory work especially, we believe Alberta's local businesses
deserve more visibility than the big platforms give them. A locally owned
restaurant, a long-established trades business, or a small-town retailer
contributes something real to their community — and finding them
shouldn't require knowing exactly where to look.
Get In Touch
Whether you have a question about one of our apps, want to update or add
a business listing, or just want to say hello — we'd love to hear from
you.
